The Hampton Roads Acquisition Holdings (HRAH LLC) company owns 25 salon locations in the Supercuts and Cost Cutters families across Virginia. Jerica Smalls is the Corporate Director of Human Resources,Finance and Operations for the company. HRAH selected Branch primarily to provide digital tip payouts to their stylists, with the added benefit of replacing their previous paycard in order to provide fee-free digital banking to their team. Getting tips to employees faster was a way to stay competitive and boost employee satisfaction all around. And in addition to getting their tips early, salon workers also get their regular paychecks a few days earlier than their scheduled payday with Branch. The HRAH team also uses the Branch Pay Admin portal to track itemized tips, and pull from multiple salon locations and funding accounts.

Why did you partner with Branch?
HRAH wanted a way to get digital tips to employees in a fast, error-free way. Prior to signing with Branch, they were using a standard paycard to get employees their tips, but found several disadvantages. For one, Smalls and her team gradually discovered that the way their card was set up required additional management from her team—and that tips took a while to post to employee accounts.
HRAH needed a solution that would pay employees faster and ensure accounts payable spent less time working on payroll or troubleshooting issues. With Branch, they found a solution that was beneficial for everyone involved.
The transition to Branch was easy—especially since they were already used to issuing digital tips.
