Seeking an EWA solution to save employees more of their hard-earned money
The idea to implement Branch was born from Servicon’s ongoing efforts to create a more equitable future for essential workers. Eugene Moorcroft, CFO, and Liliana Monter, a Payroll Manager for Servicon, knew that earned wage access would allow employees to request an advance of their paycheck if they needed to cover an unexpected expense—without worrying about interest rates, overdraft fees, or risky payday loans.
“The Executive Leadership team and I were looking for ways to make a better working environment and the idea of pay-on-demand came to mind,” Moorcroft notes.
While the team explored a few different options, they were pleased to find that Branch offered a way to take advances without charging fees to Servicon or their employees.
“In the past, many employees had to use payday lenders for loans with interest rates that are sky-high,” says Monter. “Branch provided the best option for getting cash at zero cost to them.”
The team also knew that now was the perfect time to implement this benefit, with the cost of living high and many essential workers across industries needing a financial boost.
Both Moorcroft and Monter feel that “launching Branch now is especially good timing with the economy the way it is.”

Branch’s free earned wage access solution allows Servicon’s hourly employees to access up to half their pay (up to $1,000) without waiting until the end of each pay period. This makes money available to cover emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances between paychecks—without the need to take out high-interest loans.
